| Weight Watchers is devoted to a comprehensive approach to weight management through an educational program directed at lifestyle change in an atmosphere of support in meetings. The Program is built on sound scientific principles in the areas of nutrition, behavior and exercise, and is designed to achieve the recommendations of major health organizations throughout North America.

Joining Weight Watchers is as easy as 1-2-3: |
- Find your most convenient location/day/ time to attend weekly meetings;
- Enroll as a new (or renewing) member; and
- Attend a meeting, where you'll receive everything you need to get started on the program right away.

| Setting your weight goals |
- Upon joining Weight Watchers, you choose an initial weight goal. You can chose an ultimate goal from the Weight Watchers Weight Ranges chart (on page 7 of the Welcome booklet given at your first meeting), which is based on Body Mass Index (BMI) .
- The initial loss of 10% of your joining body weight is recognized with a special award.
- When you’ve reached your ultimate weight goal, Weight Watchers provides a six-week maintenance phase that teaches you how to stabilize your new weight and helps you to learn to sustain your weight loss over the long term.

| If the Program is the heart of Weight Watchers, then the support you receive in the meeting is its soul. Increasing your knowledge, having role models to follow, sharing your challenges, finding solutions, and celebrating your successes are vital part of long-term weight management. |
